Sinks, sinks, of every type, for every floor, for every occasion! Our home needs sinks! We need bathroom sinks! We need kitchen sinks. We need a laundry room sink! We need a garden sink! Today we are discussing our bathroom sinks.
Where to start? We learned that we have one full functioning bathroom on the second floor and one functioning half bath on the main floor. Both need upgrading, but not immediately. That leaves the basement and attic needing bathroom sinks. So one way or the other we do have two existing sinks to use or replace.
Please understand, I love sinks and faucets! I love their design, the way they are placed in a room, their functionality, everything! So when I think about sinks, I consider the style, the color, the texture of the materials used, and the appearance based on the type of location.
When we consider our lovely Victorian home we think of recreating lovely luxurious Victorian bathrooms designed for comfort with a little modern creativity thrown in! We want our bathrooms to be a place to relax, refresh, and renew your spirit. A place where the cares of a busy or stressful day melt away.
We study bowl sinks, pedestal sinks, and vanity sinks. After months of searching, I find one sink and wall design I love. I can imagine walking into that bathroom, taking a deep breath, and smiling… providing a moment that calms the spirit and allows us to slow down. Our concern? Where is the ideal location for a similar bathroom in our home?
Anyone with relaxing Victorian bathroom ideas is more than welcome to offer suggestions.
