Our home has four fireplaces… one in the living room, one in the dining room, and one in each of the two larger bedrooms on the second floor.
We plan to put gas inserts in three of those fireplaces. So we went to Pine Lake Stoves in Adirondack State Park. They were recommended to us by our amazing electrician Steve Maxon of Modern Electric so we knew they would be a reliable company to work with.
First, I must rave about the drive out… we drove through a section of the Adirondack State Park… Now, granted our countryside is so woody, curvy, and quiet to begin with that we might have not realized we had entered the park were it not for the signage. But, the road did grow more wooded, more curvy, and isolated as we drove the ten miles to the store. Peck Lake on the right, then further down the road Caroga Lake, then Green Lake, also on the right and Canada Lake on the left.
Pine Lake Stoves is located in the scenic foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. It is not your average stove shop… first of all the location! Pine Lake Stoves is a destination! As we stepped into their show room we were warmly greeted by Remy, a beautiful black shepherd puppy, complete with a wagging tail and gentle sniffs. Then, we met Dominick, a lovely knowledgable young man who answered all our questions. And, as an added bonus, we were surrounded by beautiful stoves and fireplace inserts.
Scott was concerned about condensation in the chimney which could impact its integrity, but with the new systems… condensation is not an issue. Pine Lake Stoves installs, cleans, and maintains our fireplaces so we are warm and safe through our chilly winters…
We want simple inserts that allows the original glory of the fireplaces to standout. So Monday, Dominick will come to the house, take measurements, and our fireplace inserts will be on their way to becoming part of our cottage…
