Our Mr. Lincoln and Pope John Paul roses have established themselves and are now producing beautiful flowers…
Glenn, our wonderful plumber, started preparing the house for all our plumbing needs yesterday afternoon. And, he made sure to schedule Brandon Myers, Gloversville’s Building Inspector, was here to clarify and approve that everything we were planning on doing meets all the city code requirements. Then, Glenn left long enough to obtain the proper permits for this stage of our work. It is such a delight to have people in the house whose first goal is to do it properly. When he returned, he measured and started prepping the area for the half bath we will have on the first floor.
So though construction and pulling the house together is a slow process, it is a process that is happening, finally…
And, finally, universal truth should be that “each person owns the smartest of dogs….” We always knew Happy was very intelligent, loyal, loving, and a great cuddler but, Emmy may have brought intelligence to a whole new level. She understands synonyms for her favorite word “bye-bye”. She knows that bye-bye, adventure, jaunt, outing, drive, road trip, and excursion all mean “I need my vest on, please!” And, as Happy is… Emmy is loyal, loving, and a great cuddler too. How could a family be so blessed to have two such outstanding puppies? We are not complaining or disagreeing about any other puppy’s virtues… just delighted in our good fortune…
