Oh my! We have progress! Real live… honest to goodness progress…
Bushes that were destroying our cottage have been removed!
Trenches are being dug!
Braces to hold up the cottage while work in the basement to repair our collapsing wall is being completed are in place!
Old broken basement windows have been removed so new ones can be installed!
Our cottage is naked!
The ugly kerosene tank from beside the house is waiting to be hauled away!
And, that huge cast iron boiler that had resided in the basement, probably since the home was built, is in pieces. By tomorrow, it will be a distant memory!
I have been freezing when taking showers. Not because the water isn’t warm, but the room is cold. Steve, our wonderful Steve, installed a new bathroom light that has a heater that warms the bathroom when taking a shower. Only, I learned that it takes a while to warm the room. I take quick showers. By the time I had finished bathing, the heater was just beginning to heat the room. But, at least, when Scott went to take his shower he had a lovely warm bathroom. Tomorrow I will start the heater about ten minutes before I plan to bathe…
