Now that we have ceilings in the sewing room, laundry room, our future closet, our bathroom on the second floor, and our primary kitchen, it is beginning to feel like a home and not a construction zone. Having floors and walls are wonderful additions too. But it’s the small touches that complete a room and make it comfy.
So yesterday Steve and his new helper, Ethan, switched out three wall outlets from ordinary outlets to outlets with USBs. That’s because the USBs are needed so I can plug in my iPad for instruction on how to run my Bernina. The instructions to the Bernina are adamant that it should never be left plugged in when not being operated. I asked Steve to please put in an on/off switch for the outlet that the Bernina uses. Now I don’t have to struggle behind the sewing table several times a day to plug and unplug it. The small touches that turn the sewing room into a comfort zone.
Then Steve and Ethan went to our primary kitchen and installed our two grow lamps because they will not be in the way for the rest of the kitchen installations. The only problem with the lamps is that the lights face the shade rather than in a downward position. Last night Steve and I texted back and forth searching for a solution. Bless his heart… he found a swivel socket that we ordered to see if it will work. Update on its success or failure to come…
