Problems… Solutions…

First, I must thank my friends Tracey and Minor for sharing some of their snow accumulation with us. Today we have moderate wet snow falling… possibly 5 inches…

Whew! So much happening yesterday. Much of my time was spent waiting… waiting… then, waiting some more for problems to be solved while holding the phone. Our website went down… Apparently we had a protection program that was supposed to cover the website for several years. But, when it shifted from one year to the next it did not shift properly. Leaving us in a website blackout. The young man that helped me was absolutely delightful. He was gracious and determined to try to fix the problem as soon as possible… though it could take up to three days. But with his diligence… you all noticed we had a published blog yesterday. Thank you GoDaddy!

Then after talking to John from Herrl Woodcraft, I called Granite & Marble Works to schedule the man who will make the template for our countertop. He should come on Wednesday. It’s getting closer folks!

When it comes to our primary kitchen, this is the room that had been the kitchen for the Brown family… This is the kitchen very much loved by their mother… So though I am changing everything… and updating it completely… it is so important to me that this kitchen is filled with love and warmth. Because that’s the kind of kitchen that Mrs. Brown had when it was her home. My hope is that her spirit will be very content in our new kitchen…

But we still didn’t have heat in our kitchen. Poor Bert… has been so busy with all his customers. And, on top of that… he’s had a horrible bug. But bless his heart… he called Monday to tell us that since we are scheduled to have a snowstorm Tuesday… he scheduled his young men to put the heating in our kitchen. We are fortunate we live just two blocks away… and, Bert and his sons are installing heat in our kitchen as I write…

And Scott has been insulating the bakery ceiling all day. He hopes to get started on the furring strips for the drop ceiling as quickly as possible. Bakery is our next big project…
