One Year…

It’s hard to believe that a year ago today Happy, Emmi, Scott and I ended one adventure in Hawai’i and embarked on another in Upper New York State We left so much behind. The hardest leaving, for me, was leaving my oldest son, George. Not that we saw each other that often, but I knew he was near. Now, he is so far away. And, leaving all our wonderful friends of so many years. Thank goodness, with technology, there so so many ways to communicate. We are blessed that My precious son and our friends, both in Hawai’i and across the Mainland are able to stay in touch with us.
This has been a year filled with surprises… some good; some not so wonderful… but, most of all this year has been filled with DELIGHT! We love our new area and our recovering cottage.
What we have accomplished (though it is limited) has been completed beyond what we could have dreamed. Our basement is absolutely lovely. And you know how I go on non-stop about my kitchen and bakery.
So though there is still so much to accomplish, we are contented…

Yes, those white specks are snow flakes!

We had about two minutes of big thick fluffy snow flakes that did not stick, but were beautiful to see…
