Scott continues to attempt to lay the tile for the downstairs bathroom, the hallway, and the mudroom. Interruptions are his bane. Of course his primary curse is me…
“Scott, could you help me with this?”
“Scott, could you please do that?”
I am enough to drive any man crazy… come to think of it, I probably have…Know I finished off one or two… but working on being more careful with this one…
Then, there is the issue of Bert and his boys… when they are here… They need access… They need information…
It is one thing after another. Stop! Start! Stop, again!
But, through it all Scott has persevered. Thinset is actually in place for the tiles in the bathroom.
Once it is grouted? Well, we forgot the trim for the edges. Actually, Scott thought we would be installing baseboards, but for the bathroom I wanted a simple trim. We found a simple, yet elegant quarter round tile for the edges. Was it in stock? No! So, though the tile is set in the downstairs bathroom, we must wait until May 21 to pick up the quarter round trim.
In the meantime Scott is repairing the lower part of the bathroom wall. He thought he was installing baseboards, so he thought those imperfections would be covered. (As I said, I am his primary curse) Now he is filling in holes, sanding imperfections, and painting. Poor guy! But, he approaches each project and alteration with a great spirit. I am so blessed.
By the week of May 21? The downstairs bathroom will be ready for the sink and toilet to be installed and we will be a bath and a half home…
