Trees…

It has been a while… our littlest puppy, Emmi, has a potentially serious condition. They are hopeful it is curable or at least manageable. He has blocked bile ducts that have damaged his liver some. He has had an ultrasound… was scheduled for a biopsy, but his clotting factor was compromised so he is on vitamin K for three weeks. His biopsy is now scheduled for June 25. He finished a course of two antibiotics and is taking daily liver pills as well as vitamin K. Other than wanting to be held while eating his breakfast, he is his usual playful self. All good signs… ??

Another interesting development is… we have a darling woodchuck family with two adorable pups living under our garage. Problem? They love our young trees and have been nibbling them down to the ground. Sigh… we have “have-a-heart” cages scheduled to arrive next week. We are hoping we can trap them and send them into a nice home in the woods. Plus, our garage is due to be excavated and lowered in the next couple of months. Not safe for families living under the garage.

The good news?
Our irises are blooming.

The weather remains pleasantly cool.
And, we are having frequent rain showers.
