Bats and Squirrels and Yellow Jackets and Woodchucks… Oh My…

An aside: We called our furniture company, Taft Furniture, last Thursday to see how much lead time they need for our mattress to be delivered. Lo and behold, they were closed for Fabulous Fillies Day and of course the Cider and Wine Tasting. We are definitely in race horse land. ?

Scott has the ceiling removed in the laundry room.

We have all our sewing materials moved to storage on the third floor. Tomorrow, Thomas Pest Control will remove the sewing room ceiling. Turns out the Red and Grey squirrels drove out our bats… now we need to rid the eaves and our ceiling of squirrels! And, they just found a yellow jackets nest in our house that needs to be removed also… Critters have definitely decided our home is inviting… to them… at least… ?

I know many of you are concerned we are facing many challenges. Please be assured… we see these challenges as adventures! And, how much fun! The only regret we have is our original contractor. But, even that… we have had the opportunity to share with the people of Gloversville that they have a charlatan in their midst and hopefully they will not be scammed too!

Just think if we had moved here and everything had been finished and perfect… yes, that would have been nice, but we would have missed out the opportunity to really know the ins and outs of our home. With all these challenges Scott, who is so meticulous, can finish each of the rooms perfectly…
