The floors on the second floor no longer give when stepped upon. There is still a slight tilt in the second floor main hallway, but it is minimal. When walking into our future closet, I do not feel as if I am sliding down a hill. It is solid and reassuring. Words are not adequate to say how very grateful we are to Butch Woolsey, owner of Dream Craft, for his careful attention to every aspect of what was needed to shore up the wall. It is so obvious that Scott needed help on this project
Glenn, our wonderful plumber, finished installing the drain pipe for the toilet. Today? Water lines!
Bert and Joshua (Bert’s sons) connected the manifolds to our first floor coils; removed all the old coils and used reflector plates for re-cycling. First floor to basement hook-up and kitchen coil replacement to go. They are here… forging ahead with the dreaded crawl space for the kitchen floor.
Update on our saucer magnolia tree we planted last year to replace and honor Mrs. Brown’s magnolia that was cut down prior to buying this beautiful cottage. We are disappointed to announce that due to construction crew accidents and cold weather, the magnolia did not survive.

When the first tree was shipped someone flipped the package upside down, breaking the tree. Fast-Growing Trees replaced it immediately. But, Scott planted both trees… hoping the broken tree might survive and thrilled by the vigor of the second tree. As you can see, both are thriving…
