Marketplace Continued…

So we scheduled a one p.m. pick-up the next day and headed home.

Well, Scott had piqued my interest in Marketplace. So that evening as Scott collected all the possible tools he might need to take apart the band saw, I scanned the Marketplace.

He had unleashed the Mama! Three items piqued my interest. I sent messages.

The first were six one of a kind cookie molds that had been released as a special mold just one piece each year

Then, a lovely king-sized blanket that had been made in Korea. If you don’t know about blankets made in Korea, they are quite warm and weighted. We live in the Northeast where chilly weather occasionally occurs.

The third item was a huge box of material that a women found when she moved into her new home.

Replies came back within moments. All items were available.

Scott agreed they were all items we could use and/or needed. Since they were all in the same general area, we set up a schedule to pick them all up in one day.

First, we picked up the cookie molds. In the process, we had the privilege of meeting the most delightful young lady, her adorable son, and their two sweet puppies.

Then, we stopped for a bite to eat. Restaurant was clean. Waitress was nice. Food? Left much to be desired.

Then, over to pick up the band saw. The top came off easy enough, but the legs? Well, they thought they could carry them up the stairs only to find the passageway was too narrow. Sixteen bolts later the legs were apart, the car was loaded, we bid Dan a fond farewell, and were on our way to pick up the blanket made in Korea.

Again, a lovely lady, this time from Nepal. The blanket was even more beautiful and heavier than the picture implied.

After a brief visit and lots of hugs, we were on our way to pick up our box of quilting material.

A short wait for to material lady to arrive home from work and it turned out that we were the proud owners of not one, but two boxes of beautiful quilting materials. Materials I would have picked up if I had seen them. So my stash of quilting materials is now adequate to make one or two quilts…
