Surprise, New Friend…

It’s hard to believe today is the last day of the first month of 2018. Tonight earth is scheduled to have a super blue blood moon (first one in 150 years) that all my friends in Hawaii, many on the West coast, and hopefully Alaska will be able to see… if they have clear skies.

Well, I guess the secret to having snow, is to speak about lacking snow. The last time, several months ago, when I spoke about snow we had quite a bit immediately after I posted. Today, right after I posted this blog, the clouds started squeezing out the tiniest of snowflakes… flurries and showers continued throughout the whole day. But the snow was so tiny and so dry that I’m not sure if it was really coming from the clouds or just swirling back up and coming down again over and over. But, though a very light dry fluffy snow, almost negligible, it is snow and I will take it! Yay! Unless the weather forecast changes, we should have snow most days this next week.

When we were at Home Depot yesterday, picking up the paint for our first floor bathroom, (Behr Marque Semi-gloss Swiss Coffee) there was a lovely gentleman standing next to us picking up paint for one of his projects too. We started chatting and mentioned we had just recently moved to Upstate NewYork.
He asked, “Where from?”
We said, “Hawaii”
His eyes lit up, he smiled, and said, “You must be the people that moved into the Brown house in Gloversville.”
Amazed he had heard about us, we asked how he knew about our adventure. He named several people who we know, (who will remain unnamed) who had told him about us. He said he was dying to see inside our house. We told him he was welcome to stop by anytime. We exchanged cards and have one more new friend in this part of the country.
And, these are my meanderings for the last day of January 2018…
