Tile…

I must confess… I was not a happy camper. I had found a tile that would work for our bakery and it had been discontinued. I searched Houzz, Wayfair, and even Amazon, that has everything, to no avail for Elida Ceramica Wooden Basketweave Mosaic Wood Look Porcelain Wall Tile.

Then I decided I was going to place an order for the tile through Lowe’s online services. Maybe… just maybe… some stores still had a few tiles on their shelves. By ordering online, we might find those random pieces for our bakery and they were ship them to our local Lowe’s. Well, we went online. They showed one store having 5 pieces and another one having 18 pieces. We only needed 21 pieces, but we did want a couple extras for back up. The order was placed. They are processing it… and, we should have 23 pieces for our bakery backsplash in a few days. Yay!

Not sure if I mentioned we had ordered a chair for downstairs. I wanted at least one chair where I could relax while waiting for different aspects of cooking to be completed. The house is not anywhere ready for furniture, but my primary kitchen and bakery are supposed to be ready for cooking. Now to be honest, my bakery is ready for cooking. But, until I can prepare my spices properly it will remain unused. Plus, though bread is wonderful, it helps if you have something to eat with it. Not quite ready for a bread and water diet.

Anyway, back to my chair… I found a beautiful teal chair at a very reasonable price on Wayfair. They don’t charge for shipping so that kept the price within reason. We debated back-and-forth about the timing for buying the chair. Finally, we decided to go ahead and purchase it while it was on sale. I could not believe it when FedEx delivered the chair. They left it outside in the melting snow at the side of the house. They didn’t even put it on the porch. They didn’t place a call to say they were coming. They just left it out in the snow. If I haven’t had Scotty, I have no idea how I would’ve ever gotten the chair into the house. Fortunately, he found it before the wet snow seeped all the way through the carton that was protecting the chair. So though Wayfair has very good prices, I don’t think I will ever purchase furniture from them again…

And our best news of the day? Snow!
It is snowing big fat flakes about the size of nickels… that even I can see…

Hopefully, you are able to see the big fat snowflakes…
This is the accumulation from this morning…
