As my loyal followers know, I am a pluviophile and a chionophile. For you new to our blog or just not knowledgeable about ‘philes’… a pluviophile is a lover of rain and a chionophile a lover of cold, which ideally includes snow!
If we go several days without rain, I find myself studying the Weather App. Change of seasons… It is certain you will find me glancing at the weather app a dozen times a day…
And, as September turns into October, and October turns into November, my periods of glancing at the weather app increase… craving surges of arctic air that bring glorious changes to our area.
Well, this fall my weather app tortured me…
First it said it would snow
And then it didn’t
And then it said it should snow
And then it couldn’t
It was so undecided then
I did not know what to do…
Then, it said, “Plan for snow.”
And then, “It’s NO!”
And when it says, “It will!”
That’s when it turns into “Fooled ya!”
It changed its mind hourly
And, I became dourly…
I was looking at the App
And it didn’t make much sense
It kept me in suspense
And it knew it
It promised snows return
When it didn’t
I really burned
I guess I’ll never learn
And I showed it
If it had a heart
And, if it was kind
Then, it wouldn’t keep us apart
Oh, please make up your mind!
It’s undecided now
So what am I gonna do?
WAIT!
We had snow Friday afternoon… and it stuck! ? More is forecast for this week…
