Liam Aftermath…

Well, Liam decided to give us a beautiful snowstorm. We accumulated over 6 inches of fresh snow. Yesterday was lovely and sunny.

Just, to again reiterate how absolutely wonderful the people in this little village are… When Scott was removing the snow that the street plow had stacked along the street side of our house… so Bert and Glenn could pull in if they came by…. Bill Roeback was driving by. He saw Scott struggling to remove that high pile, stopped his truck and volunteered to plow the snow out-of-the-way. He was just driving by folks! Now that’s what I call neighborly.
Of course Liam continued to drop snow and made another whole stack that Scott went out to remove yesterday morning. Who is there but Bert… with his truck and snow plow. Yes, he’s working on installing the corrected heating in our house, but he didn’t have to plow our snow. Again, neighborly! I tell you folks Gloversville is one of the most neighborly villages where you could ever wish to live.

Scott shovels the roof over the kitchen because it’s a flat roof. We don’t want any cave-ins from snow build-up.

As if we don’t have a enough not happening, now we have problems developing that we don’t need. Not that anyone ever needs problems. Our sewer lines are blocked… They have been here roto -rootering all morning. They found root balls in the part of the sewer that’s near the street. Now we know that once a year we need to have our sewer lines Roto rootered so we don’t have recurring problems.
We have finished “The Ladies Room”. Yes, it was as predictable as we imagined, but still a cute light read. Now we are reading “Replay” by Ken Grimwood. An interesting story that in many ways reminds us of Groundhog Day” yet is tantalizing.

We are expecting another snowstorm this weekend snowstorm Mateo… ?
