Projects exist everywhere Scott turns… after the bedroom, he needs to turn his attention to finishing our closet. Since arriving in Gloversville, I have been living in one pair of pants, two camisoles, one shirt, and two dresses. Definitely enough for day to day life, but short on variety… especially since those choices sit in moving boxes.
Today we made a huge advancement toward having a closet. Butch Woolsey and his helper, Rick arrived today. The sliding doors that were in (what I believe was Chris’s bedroom) the center room on the second floor have been removed.
We now have a four sided closet space. That room also had a teeny tiny closet. We will be closing it off from our future closet and cutting new access into the hallway… turning it into a linen closet.
And, da… da… the pocket door for our first floor half bath has been installed!
Butch is going to raise the beam in the basement that needs to be reinforced to level the floor.
Still waiting on Glenn, our plumber, and Bert, our heating and cooling man, to find time to finish our bedroom ceiling.
And though progress is much slower than we had imagined before we arrived in Gloversville, we love this old cottage and have no regrets…
